George & Dragon - Official Opening

The George & Dragon has been serving beer in its newly refurbished state for nearly three months now and we have even held a meeting there, but Stewart will not be rushed. The official opening was held in glorious sunshine and most of the village turned out.
Hopefully someone will tell me how the evenings proceedings got on as I had the offer of a lift back & had already imbibed  sufficiently. But the afternoon was very good – with storytelling and a ritual George & the Dragon re-enactment as well as clog dancing and the Anker morrismen performing.
What with all the beers on top form and ever changing – there was even the Mango Beer on (which I didn’t try) and Lemon Beer (which I did) and all the favourites – Pooh Beer, W.T.F.H., Vicars Ruin, & my favourite the Coffin Stout as well as those I cannot remember and two guest beers.
Anyone in need of a large marquee for a christening, wedding, wake, bar mitzvah, or just an excuse to have a beer festival – contact Stewart!!
