Bulls Head Beer Festival
December 2011

The Bulls Head at Stoney Stanton has only been open again for a few months but held their Christmas beer festival on 9/10/11 December, and mighty fine it was too. With as many beers as could fit on the stillaging (I made it 14) as well as those on handpump it made a good spread - with Christmas as a main theme most of the ales were "local" Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire all featured as well as a couple from Yorkshire supplemented by 6 ciders and the hot pork cobs!

A further report:
Mr Green and myself visited the Bulls Head beer festival on Friday afternoon, there were 14 Real Ales set up in the bar area with another 5 beers on hand pumps. A selection of 6 Ciders were also available. As we arrived prior to the opening at 5pm our John Green offered to officially open the Festival which went down very well. We needed to leave at 6pm, as we left the festival was in full swing, with a good number of enthusiasts sampling all beers
