Evening Mystery Tour Tuesday 19th August 2008 August saw us stray a bit out of our southern area boundary. We ventured to three villages which are only able to boast one pub each - but what fine pubs. First call was to Sapcote and the RED LION where there is always a fine guest ale available but on this night there were two to compliment the superb Marstons Bitter and Pedigree - Lancaster Bomber and Ringwood Seventy-Eight. Next to our first free house of the evening and Ashby Parva, THE HOLLY BUSH where the now regular St Austell Tribute was served alongside Jennings Cumberland, Lancaster Bomber and Marstons Pedigree. Still in Leicestershire - just - Saw our final pub of the evening at Catthorpe the CHERRY TREE. As well as a now regular Adnams "guest", Burton Bitter, Jennings Dark Mild and the locally brewed Dowbridge Ratae'd were also available. Our thanks go to all the landlords and staff who had to put up with us! Special thanks to Sue and "hop along" Phil at the Cherry Tree for laying on supper. I've not spoken to anyone else who attended on this trip (only 2 days ago) but I do feel that all three pubs may be seeing us more in the future. Cheers, Chris.
