Cotswold Beer Festival Trip
Saturday 26th July 2008
Our
annual visit to the Cotswold Beer Festival was the same format as most previous
years. The bus left from Hinckley Railway Station car park at 10:00, arriving in
time for the 12 o'clock opening. Everything at the festival was pretty much as
previous years, although as a contrast to the floods of last year, everywhere
was dry and the sun shone unrelentingly all day. The beers and entertainment
were up to their usual high standard.
After closing at 3:00pm some of
our party joined a walk over the Cleeve Hills to Gretton, whilst the rest
visited the Corner Cupboard in Winchcombe. Everyone met at the Royal Oak,
Gretton at 6:00pm for a meal and a few more beers before leaving for home at
about 8:00pm.
