Burton & South Derbyshire CAMRA Spring Beer Festival
Friday
28th March 2008

The Spring Festival replaces the
old Winter Festival previously held at the end of January. It was very similar,
although there was now a good selection of less strong beers to complement the
higher gravity ones.
I have written about about trips
to Burton Beer Festivals so often now it gets difficult to find something new to
say. I suppose I could say that we have come to rely on Burton Festivals to be
consistently excellent, that's why we keep attending. This one was no different!
We travelled by train, as usual;
it rained, as usual; the beers were in excellent condition, as usual; Martin
Atterbury was entertaining on his Mighty Organ, as usual; beer prices had gone
up slightly, as usual; we ended the day at the Cooper's Tavern, as usual; the
trains back were crammed full, as usual. It's good to know some things never
change!!
