Hinckley Beer Festival Volunteers Party
Elephant &
Castle
Friday
31st October 2008
There was no real reason to hold
the party on Halloween, it was just to say 'Thank You' to all the souls who
volunteered to help.
Perhaps
we should have had it the next day - All Saints Day - but then perhaps not!!
It fell to me to make a short
speech thanking everyone, hoping they enjoyed working at the Festival &
suggesting they might like to do the same next year! I also explained where the
profits would go. The response came from the Mayor, Jeffery Bannister, who has
recently become a CAMRA member.
Lisa provided an excellent &
plentiful buffet, while Tim offered a goodly selection of quality beers. Lisa
also showed off her talents as 'Entertainments Officer' organising a few games
to keep us amused.
Dave Tibbles (left) won 1st Prize
in the Raffle - 3 bottles from the Concrete Cow Brewery.
It seemed to me to be an ideal
evening, I hope everyone else enjoyed it. There are a few photos below, taken by
Chris, demonstrating the daft things folks will do after a few beers!

It's either my
speech or a face pulling competition! |
