BROTHERHOOD’S BIRTHDAY BASH !!

Anne & Steve, Lorraine & Phil, Mandy & Barry joined Lisa & Tim (above) for his Birthday.

I’ve been sworn to secrecy not to reveal his age!

The venues chosen to celebrate this very happy occasion were the Baron P H and Jasmine Restaurant both on Regent Street Hinckley.

Taking advantage of J D Wetherspoon's Real Ale Festival, several award winning ales were sampled including:

Hook Norton Hooky Gold            4.1% ABV

Titanic Iceberg                              4.1% ABV

Harviestoun Ice Maiden                4.2% ABV

Greene King Abbot Reserve         6.5% ABV

Naylor’s Pinnacle Blonde             4.3% ABV

Tim’s choice for his first drink was……….White Horse Village Idiot 4.1% ABV

Anyway moving on quickly - just like the evening - we wrapped up warm to face the long walk to the Jasmine (next door).

The Jasmine is a buffet style restaurant specialising in Chinese & Cantonese dishes. We enjoyed a wide variety of starters, mains and deserts and you can eat as much as you like for a fixed price £ 12.90. The food quality and service was excellent !

A wide selection of drinks were available: wines, spirits, lagers and ……John Smiths.

The sign of a great evening in good company is that it passed so quickly. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and would not hesitate in recommending this pub / restaurant combination.

It’s too convenient not to !!
