8th Merchant's Inn Beer Festival Visit Monday 29th October 2007
Once again, an excellent evening was had, courtesy of Gary, Scott & the staff, at the Merchant's Inn, Rugby. This must now be one of the best pub beer festivals in the Midlands, if not the country! There was a selection of up to 60+ beers available during the festival, plus Belgian beers, ciders & perries. The beer selection included the 6 CAMRA Champion Beers of 2007 and ranged in ABV from Hobson's Mild at 3.2% to Abbeydale Last Rites at 11%.. As far as I could see & taste, all the beers were in tip top condition. In addition to the beer choice, there was Doctor Busker providing the ideal beer festival entertainment in his usual ebullient way. Those of you who have seen him will know what I mean, those who haven't should remedy this omission from your education as soon as possible.
