Greetings,

A quick report to say that Steve and I visited the Quorn Octoberfest last Saturday the14th. This was our 2^nd visit and again it was set in the delightful village hall.

The opening hours are obviously very popular as our arrival at opening time on the Saturday, did not allow us to try any of the champion beers as denoted by the tasting notes as they had all gone.

But we persevered and tried new ones to our unrefined pallet. We even met a gentleman from Middlesex who had combined a drop of real beer, watching the local team play football, and then move on to the Swan in the Rushes, where, would you believe, we bumped into him.

I would like to say that yet again the local branch were as helpful and hospitable as usual. They also went on to name the date of the Loughborough Beer Festival as the 1^st – 3^rd March 2007 at the Polish Club. I have attached the tasting notes should you wish to get a feel of you may have missed.
