Minibus trip to the Merchants Inn Beer Festival 30th October 2006

What was going to be a full minibus, ended up one short when Chris, our photographer, had to drop out.

The pub was already buzzing when we arrived at 8:00pm. There were 56 beers listed in the menu, although not all of them were available at the same time. The list included the six recent 'Champion Beers' from the 2006 GBBF.

The entertainment was provided by Dr. Busker who provided excellent entertainment and value, they were still going strong when we left at 11:30!

Having secured a copy of the festival programme, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our sub branch got a mention on the Welcome page written by Scott the Landlord.

We also had the opportunity to meet Gary Burlison, the owner of the Merchants. We were able to congratulate him on an excellent pub and to hear his plans for the future.
