Presentation of the Award

The presentation was made by David Finn, H&B CAMRA Chairman, in front of a large crowd of members and customers.

David said that having saved cask beer, CAMRA was devoting a lot of its energy to preserving the pub. We hear a lot about pub closures, but well run pubs do not go out of business. The Weavers Arms is an excellent example of a well run pub – looking after its regular customers and welcoming newcomers, supporting the local sports clubs, attracting customers over a wide age group. H & B branch members voted unanimously to award the Weavers PotM . Kevin has been the landlord for the last eight years and can take enormous credit for making this pub a warm, friendly and popular place, serving excellent beer to a diverse range of customers.
