Presentation of the Award
Tuesday 15th December 2009
The presentation was made by David Finn, H&B CAMRA Chairman, at the start of the
branch
Christmas Party which was held at the Elephant & Castle.
  David
recalled the fact that many members had known Tim & Lisa for quite a few years,
back to the days when they kept the Black Horse in Hinckley. He also
congratulated them on the progress they have made since taking over the Elephant
& Castle, a true village pub. The beer has been excellent & Tim was judged by
the Morning Advertiser to have the best cellar in the West & East Midlands &
very nearly in the whole country! Tim is pleased that he can now offer two
changing guest beers in addition to the usual three from Everards. Lisa has
built up a following for her cooking, especially for the now famous pies!
Between them they recently hosted a Beer & Pie Festival which was an outstanding
success; the next one is eagerly awaited!
