Ian pulls the first pint of LocAle |
Friday 1st May 2009 The H&B LocAle Scheme was launched on the evening of Friday 1st May when a mini bus full of members & accompanied by Chairman David visited three LocAle pubs. First call was the George & Dragon, Stoke Golding where Ian, a keen member of the LocAle Scheme, pulled the first pint of Rugby Brewing's Webb Ellis. Ian had a barrel of No.8 waiting in the cellar for when the Webb Ellis ran out. He was also offering Lancaster Black & Wells Bombardier, both in fine form despite their lengthy journeys to get here!

Steve pulls a pint of Tunnel Brewery Clockwork Orange |
The second call of the evening was the King William IV in
Market Bosworth In addition to Tunnel Clockwork Orange, Steve was also offering Everard's Tiger, Marston's Bitter & Pedigree which, despite the missing 'pump crowners' do qualify as LocAles in the King William. Remember the beer must be brewed within a 20 radius of the pub to qualify as a LocAle.
