New Festival Poster
Last year Hinckley & Bosworth CAMRA invited the Creative Arts Department at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College to design a new logo and poster for the annual Hinckley Beer Festival. The initiative was led by CAMRA member Barbara Bowley, who approached the Programme Leader for Graphic Design at the College, Andy Ainslow, and set out the guidelines.  Under Andy’s guidance, the students from different year groups developed and realised their ideas. After seeing each student’s work, a short list was drawn up for the Beer Festival Committee, who decided on the winning design.

Chairman David presents Mat with his prize watched by Chris, Hinckley Beer Festival Organiser

On the 21st May presentations were made at the College to the winner and runners up. Beer Festival Officer, Chris James, and Chairman, David Finn, presented vouchers to the runners up, Simon Turton and Alex Bennett, and the winner, Mat Gilbey, received his vouchers and a year’s membership of the Campaign for Real Ale. Chris thanked Andy and the students for their efforts and for producing such an outstanding portfolio of work. On behalf of the college, Andy agreed it had been a very worthwhile experience for the students and welcomed the link that had been created with CAMRA in the local community.
